2022 Rabbit & Spaghetti Limited Reserve Shiraz

Barrel selected from the best parcels of the vintage, the Reserve Shiraz is crafted from fruit grown on old vines at Leasingham and White Hut in the Clare Valley. The resulting wine is complex and interesting and truly reflects this vineyard, our winemaking philosophies and represents the pinnacle of our production.

Fermented  at 18-24 ˚C in open fermenters, extraction is gentle, done by both plunging and pumping the wines over for short periods throughout fermentation. Basket pressed into French oak for 18 months maturation prior to blending and bottling using minimal filtration.

The Wine

Dense purple with garnet hues. Intense fruit aromas of blackberry and blood plum, with hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and anise. The palate is opulent with intense, ripe forest fruits supported by tobacco, mocha and sweet spice flavours. Generous, soft tannins and rich structure lead to a focussed, lingering finish.
